Was at Millenium Memorial that day, whether was not good for taking pictures..no shadow.Everybody got some posing attitude..yeah!

Actually I like photography...

Picture of my kid "Danial", the background is KLCC skyline with a lightning efx,
picture was taken at a western eatery "Al-Ansar" in Keramat. The eatery have a very breathtaking view of KL skyline.

Picture of my youngest kid, actually at the background is the fullmoon, VGA camera phone could not handle it...nice if I had a 'REAL' camera

I don't have an EOSD70 or D350 or even NikonD50, but I like taking photo of a scenery or my family..OnTop is a picture that I took using only a SEP900 camera phone. Actually most of the pics included in this blog is only by my camera phone, resolution is VGA 640X480...hmmm. One dy I'll invest it on a FZ30 or S3 or a digital SLR (but lens is so expensive...?

TV Resolution

TV resolution di Malaysia is
PAL 720X576, 25fps dan 72dpi.
so kalau ada graphics tu rsize le ke 72 dpi,
tak yah import 300dpi ke 100 dpi ke...sebbnya
TV resolution memang kecik.

Kalau ada logo yg dibuat dlm 3D, kalau nak print kena render besar kalau boleh 2K atau HD resolution.

Dan kalau dalam graphics, line halus-halus tu forget-it! kasi tebal sikit sebb TV nie dia ada scan line.. so line halus mesti bergetar, kalau monitor PC memang hiREZ tapi TV nie lowRez sikit...

Lagi satu kena ingat! Walaupun color kita perfect, output ke TV still PAL, jadi color tu mesti kurang bagus sikit..so pepandai la adjust. YG paling penting mesti ada preview monitor.. so bleh kita adjust sikit. Color juga mesti ikut standard yg di tentukan. ASTRO follows BBC stabdard color bar & ada standar dB for audio output.

Forget it kalau ada broadcaster kata they transmit digital, ASTRO pun same..bila sampai ke TV kita still PAL output UNLESS kita dah ada digital TV..meaning TV sekarang boleh input digital signal from a SET-TOP box bukan pakai RCA cable.. tapi BNC atau Composite cable...

Tips bila nak shoot 3D + Live action

Nie pengalaman aku bila shoot KK.

Sebelum shooting untuk 3D + Live menggunakan blue screen dalm studio, apa perlu kita buat?

Pre-Pro meeting tentang apa yang nak di shoot, storyboard kena ada.

Krew call dulu, Check avalability studio company mana yang kita nak pakai, apa yang dia orang ada, budget?

1. Camera man
Selalunya dia main shoot aje ikut kite as a director,tapi camera man yg mahir akan menunjuk kita shot dan angle mana yg baik, minta pandangan dia sama

2. Jenis camera
a. Padestial - camera jenis canon utk studio dan sport paling berkesan dan resolutionnya tinggi, hang bleh zoom in sampai urat mata, very sharp.

b.Jimmy jeep -nie camera yg boleh buat fly through, dia bleh terbang mana kita suka, good for top shot dan wide angle

Selalunya kalu nak shoot blue screen, pakai dua camera pun jadiLah dan kalau 3D kaorang tak byk gerak..just lock the camera position

3. Lighting man
Orang paling penting..dia memastikan subject korang tak bocor... dia pastikan blue screen nie jadi flat tapi tak mengganggu lighting subjeck

4. Control room to check the chroma level/white balance
Nie penting untuk preview tape dan outcome dan check white balance utk all camera. Selalu record in digital tape.

5. Blue scrteen atau Green screen drape atau white screen
Up to u guys as long as subject tak de color sama degan blue/green/white... kalau tidak..bocor bang.. atau nanti ada bubble efx

4 orang nie akan set-up dulu sebelum kita shoot, at least 2jam setup untuk dapatkan satu shot blue screen yang paling baik. Bukan main boh macam minum teh boh aje..


Utk peringatan.. cuma bagi sample still frame pada camera man utk dia visualkan so they know the angle of the camera.. aku rasa dalam 4 jam baru hang bleh shoot subject tuh...

Bila semua dah ready.. korang bleh panggil subject tu dan test depan camera, pastikan tak ada yg bocor dan chroma dah di setkan ( control room only ). cuba letakkan still frame 3D anda dan matchkan anglenya.

Kunci Khazanah

One of my projects, the old KK for ASTRO. Full 3D rendering, storyboard by yours truly. The concept is like a spy movie theme.1 week of intense rendering over with SGIs & PC. Won a local PPFM award for best 3D animation in 2004.Live shot was done in studio 1 in ASTRO over blue background. 3D animation was on Softimage XSI and composite in FLAME.

Pre-production is important so that we know what to shoot and in what angle.Overall graphics process takes about 4 weeks to complete.

Place is in Suria Resort, Cherating. Went there for a 4D3N trip, great place to stay, the wheater is marvelous and went to Kerteh also.

Pada 13 & 14 Mei lalu, para sukarelawan dari Saujana Utama telah menyumbangkan tenaga utk membuat mural di SKSU. Sumbangan mereka amat di hargai dan nama para ibu & bapa yg telah menjayakannya telah terpahat di dinding mural. TERIMAKASIH.
